Senior Managing Consultant – Canberra, Australia

About the role

ArcBlue is seeking to appoint a Senior Managing Consultant to harness and lead our business growth in Canberra.

This is an outstanding senior opportunity to partner with our Canberra region Clients, specifically those within the Defence Sector, understanding and aligning with their business outcomes and future needs.

This position will lead and grow the ArcBlue Canberra Team to achieve excellence in  client value and will be measured by ongoing adoption, growth and renewal of contracts.   You will be required to attract, build and lead a local team that will align with the ArcBlue culture.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop strategic and tactical plans to promote and maintain an ArcBlue presence in the region
  • Identify and partner with key decision-makers within the Commonwealth and Defence sector
  • Build relationships to improve pipeline investment and preparedness
  • Establish and manage an ArcBlue Office in Canberra
  • Establish and lead an ArcBlue Team in Canberra

Key Requirements

  • Must be an experienced Defence professional with established networks in Canberra and beyond
  • Senior Program Management / Project Management / Procurement Management experience in a Defence environment will be expected
  • Extensive technical understanding of Defence and Commonwealth procurement and project management frameworks
  • Significant and mature stakeholder relationship management.

Qualifications, Skills & Attributes

  • Significant experience building relationships within a business development context within Federal Government, specifically Defence
  • Tertiary qualifications in commerce/finance/business or related discipline
  • Demonstrable ability to develop and secure business
  • Demonstrable ability to leverage pre-existing network of clients or contacts in the marketplace
  • Proven ability to translate wider industry trends and understanding of specific industry domains
  • Proven ability to establish, influence and lead a team of highly experienced and qualified practitioners
  • Flexibility to work outside of standard hours, with the ability to travel, if required
  • Must be located in Canberra, or be willing to relocate.
